A LITTLE ABOUT US…
Trimble After School Care Society was established at Queen Mary Elementary School in 1974, by a small group of concerned parents who required after school care for their children. It began in a classroom on the third floor of the primary building with approximately 12 children enrolled at the centre at that time. In 1987, the centre was moved to the lunchroom in the intermediate building. As a result of the additional space available to the society, a license for 30 children was granted to TASC. As the centre grew, the Board of Directors decided it was best to acquire a full-time administrator, and in August 1988 a supervisor was hired. Since that time TASC’s enrolment has climbed to 50 children
Here at TASC we provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for children between the ages of 5 and 12. The children in our care have opportunities to develop positive life skills, while learning to establish respectful social interactions by participating in daily activities. Such activities include creative crafts, sports, cooking/ baking and super fun out trips!
You can find us inside Queen Mary Elementary in the Multipurpose Room, just to the right of the school’s office.
Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 9:00am and 3:00pm to 6:00pm. We are also open on professional and school closure days between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm, and during Spring Break and Summer Holidays.
